MEAD VALLEY, CA — Three people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash involving three vehicles at an intersection in Mead Valley, authorities said.
The collision was reported around 3:30 p.m. at Cajalco Road and Seaton Avenue, less than a half-mile west of the 215 Freeway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred on the westbound side of Cajalco Road, but the wreckage spilled over onto both sides of the four-lane corridor.
First responders reached the scene and found three people suffering minor to moderate injuries. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Both sides of Cajalco Road between Seaton and Camino Del Sol were shut down Wednesday afternoon because of the crash.
CHP officials said the road closure was expected to be lifted by 5 p.m.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
