Firefighters Battle 7 Acre Brush Fire In Menifee

MENIFEE, CA — Firefighters Sunday were reported to be battling a seven-acre brush fire in Menifee that was threatening nearby structures.

The fire was reported around 3:35 p.m. Sunday in the area of Keller and Gloria Roads, according to the nonprofit wildfire-information service Watch Duty.

At the initial time of report the fire was burning one acre, and responding firefighters reported the fire burning at a moderate rate of spread.

The fire's forward progress was stopped at 7 acres around 4:15 p.m., but it was unknown if any structures sustained damage.

No injuries were immediately reported.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
