MENIFEE, CA — A new elementary school is expected to arrive in Menifee by 2030 as school district officials approved an architectural services agreement for the design of the future school.
On Tuesday, the Menifee Union School District board approved an architectural services agreement with DLR Group, an employee-owned design services firm. DLR Group will design Menifee Elementary School No. 16, which is expected to open in 2030.
The fee for DLR Group's services on the project is $4,150,000, which "will be funded by community facilities districts, state matching grant funds, Measure R, and developer fees," according to the MUSD board agenda on July 28.
DLR Group was previously hired to design Menifee Valley Middle School and Sally Buselt Elementary School.
Officials have not announced when they expect construction of Menifee Elementary School No. 16 to begin.
