20-Year-Old Man Arrested After RivCo Home Invasion Robbery: Sheriff

TEMESCAL VALLEY, CA — Deputies arrested a 20-year-old man suspected of a home invasion robbery in Temescal Valley, authorities announced Wednesday.

On Saturday, around 12:55 p.m., deputies responded to reports of a robbery involving a suspect who brandished a firearm and demanded valuables at a home in the 25000 block of Glen Eden Road, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities said the suspect fled the scene before deputies arrived, but investigators obtained a description of the suspect who was identified as David Cordero of Los Angeles.

Cordero was located later that day and taken into custody without incident, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities said during their investigation, additional victims were identified. No injuries were reported.

During the search, investigators also obtained evidence in connection with the alleged robberies, including stolen property.

Cordero was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for home invasion robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and brandishing a weapon.
