EASTVALE, CA — A 62-year-old Hemet man was arrested Friday in connection with a sexual abuse investigation involving two victims at a private care facility in Eastvale, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
The investigation began in June 2025, when deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station responded to a facility in the 6000 block of La Mesa Street after receiving a report of inappropriate behavior involving an employee and a patient.
Authorities said investigators did not have enough information at the time to identify a suspect, and no arrests were made.
In March, the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station Investigations Bureau asked the Riverside County Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau Special Victims Unit to assist with the case. The unit took over the investigation and later identified a second victim, authorities said.
Investigators identified the suspect as June Richard Lee, 62, of Hemet. Authorities said Lee was also using the name Richard Bautista.
Special Victims Unit investigators, assisted by deputies from the Hemet Sheriff's Station, located Lee on Friday in the 42000 block of Margoni Way in Hemet. He was taken into custody without incident, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Lee was booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of lewd acts on a dependent adult, sexual battery and forced oral copulation.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said no additional details were available.
Anyone with information about the investigation was asked to contact Investigator C. Lewis at 951-955-1700 or Sheriff's Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
