• Local Residents Killed In Lake Elsinore After Motorist Steers Into Opposing Traffic: CHP (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore drivers are being reminded of the dangers on Grand Avenue after a head-on collision Tuesday night killed two men, including a 22-year-old local resident, and seriously injured two passengers. CHP investigators say the northbound Camaro crossed into oncoming traffic near Gregory Place, striking a southbound Camry, and are still working to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
   

• DUI Checkpoint To Be Held In Lake Elsinore On Friday (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore drivers are being warned about a DUI checkpoint set for Friday night at an undisclosed location, running from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday. Sheriff's deputies will screen motorists for signs of impairment from alcohol, prescriptions, or over-the-counter drugs, aiming to reduce crashes and promote safety in the city.
   

• Lake Elsinore To Host E-Bike Safety Town Hall Amid Rise In Riverside County Crashes (patch.com) — Lake Elsinore is hosting an e-bike safety town hall on Oct. 15 at the Cultural Center to explain the city's new riding ordinance and promote safer practices. With e-bike injuries rising sharply across Riverside County, especially among youth, local riders, parents, and residents are urged to attend and learn how the rules affect everyday use around town.
