The motorist who hit the pole reportedly fled on foot.

CHP officers and sheriff's deputies closed both sides of Grand Avenue for public safety. Southern California Edison said only a few properties were affected by the electrical outage.

One person in a vehicle involved in the crash sustained minor injuries, and another occupant sustained moderate injuries. Both were transported to a nearby hospital, according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The CHP was handling the investigation. Officers and deputies were searching for the missing driver.
