Landscaping Work May Cause Delays On Highway 74 In Lake Elsinore Starting Sept. 14: Caltrans

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Maintenance crews will be performing a landscaping operation on State Route 74 beginning Monday which may cause delays, Caltrans announced on Friday.

Crews will be performing tree trimming and weed abatement from Monday through Wednesday, which will require one-way traffic control from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to Caltrans.

Closures are expected Monday on the eastbound and westbound sides of Highway 74 between Long Canyon and Monte Vista Street, and on Tuesday through Wednesday between Morrell Canyon and Decker Canyon.

Caltrans said the operation may cause delays as flagging will be performed in both directions of the highway.

Motorists were advised to reduce their speed when traveling through the work areas for the safety of crews and other drivers on the road. Signage will be placed ahead of the work area.
