MORENO VALLEY, CA — The southbound 215 Freeway interchange near the 60 Freeway will be closed for emergency repairs Friday night, Caltrans said.
The agency said maintenance crews will be performing emergency attenuator repairs on the southbound 215 Freeway interchange to the southbound 215 from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday.
The 215 Freeway near Moreno Valley is slated for multiple improvements starting early next year after Caltrans confirmed that the long-anticipated I-215 Pavement Rehabilitation Project is scheduled to begin construction, which could get underway as early as January. The project will upgrade the pavement on the 215 Freeway from Ramona Expressway to the San Jacinto River Bridge.
Caltrans did not advise an alternative route for motorists to take.
