CORONA, CA — A 15-year-old Corona High School student was arrested Tuesday in connection with a report of a school threat.

The Corona Police Department learned of the threat Tuesday, prompting School Resource Officers and detectives to begin investigating immediately with help from the Corona-Norco Unified School District.

The investigation led to the arrest of the teenage Corona High School student, Corona Police Department Information Officer Brandon Palarco said.

"There is no active threat to any schools or students," a police department spokesperson shared on social media. " The Corona Police Department and the Corona-Norco Unified School District take all threats seriously and remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of our students and community."

As of Wednesday, police and district officials had not publicly disclosed the nature of the threat, how it was made or when officials first became aware of it.

Authorities encouraged students and community members who see or hear anything suspicious to report it to police or school staff, saying they take every tip seriously and investigate it.
