LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A skydiver who made a jump over Lake Elsinore Tuesday suffered minor injuries during his landing.
The "skydiver down" call was received at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday at Skydive Elsinore in the 20000 block of Cereal Street, near the south end of the lake, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The agency said the parachutist, whose identity was not disclosed, injured the lower half of one of his legs when he hit the surface following a jump at an unspecified altitude.
Paramedics reached the location within a few minutes and assessed the victim, determining the injury was minor, according to officials.
The party was not transported to a hospital, apparently opting to seek medical treatment on his own.
There was no word regarding the specific circumstances behind the landing.
