Bicyclist Left for Dead in Cajalco Road Hit-and-Run: CHP
Officials hope that someone may have information on the driver who left the scene of the crash.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — California Highway Patrol officers are asking for help finding the driver who hit a bicyclist and fled the scene.
The collision occurred about 8:35 p.m. Sunday on Cajalco Road, west of Wood Road, according to CHP spokesman Dan Olivas.
"For reasons still under investigation, the driver of the unknown vehicle veered to the right and collided with the bicyclist," Olivas said in a news release. "The driver of the vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction immediately after the collision."

The male victim, whose name and age were not immediately available, was pronounced dead at Riverside County Regional Medical Center, Olivas said.
Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the driver was asked to call the CHP at (951) 637-8000.

"The vehicle will have damage to the front end and possibly a broken headlight," Olivas said, while asking for the the public’s help in finding the driver responsible for the deadly collision.
