CORONA, CA — A person died New Year's Day on Interstate 15 in the Corona area, authorities reported early Monday. California Highway Patrol reports indicated the incident happened around 2:20 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway, just south of Dos Lagos.

A woman contacted the CHP to report a body in the slow lane, the CHP said. The witness told the CHP people appeared to be giving the person CPR, according to City News Service.
