'Bunny Trunk Hop' Planned For Lake Elsinore Kids
Downtown Main Street in Lake Elsinore is the spot for kids to collect Easter Eggs and meet the Easter Bunny. Here's how to participate!

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The Easter Bunny will be hopping along in Downtown Main Street, Lake Elsinore this April, the city of Lake Elsinore announced.
The Bunny Trunk Hop will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on April 1, according to the City of Lake Elsinore's event coordinator Melissa Veliz.
This is the newest Easter event planned for city families, Veliz told Patch. The Bunny Trunk Hop is "trunk-or-treat" style, where kids can take their Easter baskets from trunk to trunk and collect eggs and candy.

"During our spring events, the little kids sometimes don't get more than a handful of eggs," she said. "This year, we want to make sure that every kid gets a basket full of eggs and candy."
Part of that involves residents who want to host "trunks" along Downtown Main. The city will provide a bag of pre-stuffed eggs to each participant, Veliz said.

Decorators are encouraged to get into the spring theme, with "everything from Roger Rabbit to the White Rabbit," Veliz said. "Think spring, gardening, butterflies, anything springtime."
Typical spring event musements will be in City Park, and wristbands will be available for purchase at $5 per child.
Trunk decorators are wanted, and it's free to participate, according to a city spokesperson. Food vendors are also welcome for the event.
