STUDIO 395 Invites You to Granny J's Fundraiser for Wheelchair Kids

Join STUDIO 395 in supporting JKaren Newcombe's first Lake Elsinore Fundraiser for Wheelchair Kids on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Lakeland Village Community Center, 16275 Grand Avenue, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530 from 10am-3pm.

Driven by a deep passion for sewing and a heart for helping others, J. Karen Newcombe—affectionately known as “Granny J”—is making a difference in the lives of wheelchair-bound youth. Through her innovative work, Ms. Newcombe has designed a custom wetsuit “fin” tailored to fit individuals who are paralyzed or unable to walk. This unique design allows them to experience the soothing benefits of water while engaging in much needed physical activity. The suit not only fosters a sense of freedom and joy but also helps combat obesity caused by limited mobility.
