Cheapest Gas In Lake Elsinore: Where To Fill Up Before Christmas

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — If you're driving over the mountains and through the deserts this Christmas week, Patch found the best gas prices in Southwest Riverside County.

Sinclair Gas Station on S. Perris Boulevard had the cheapest fuel, selling regular unleaded gasoline at $3.79 per gallon.

Similarly priced is your neighborhood Costco in Temecula, Murrieta, or Lake Elsinore/Wildomar. You can fuel up there with regular unleaded gasoline priced at $3.77 per gallon as of 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to the most recent reports from GasBuddy.com.

The average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline in Riverside County rose for the third day in a row, rising two-tenths of a cent Monday to $4.267, a day after increasing 1.2 cents.

The average price is one-tenth of a cent more than one week ago, but 6.7 cents less than one month ago and 25.5 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.106 since rising to a record $6.373 on Oct. 5, 2022.

According to AAA, the nation’s top 10 most expensive gasoline markets are Hawaii ($4.56), California ($4.34), Washington ($3.94), Nevada ($3.62), Oregon ($3.48), Alaska ($3.39), Pennsylvania ($3.25), Illinois ($3.23), Washington, DC ($3.22), and Arizona ($3.14).

The nation’s top 10 least expensive gasoline markets are Oklahoma ($2.52), Texas ($2.57), Mississippi ($2.59), Arkansas ($2.60), Tennessee ($2.64), Kansas ($2.66), Missouri ($2.66), Louisiana ($2.69), Iowa ($2.69), and Alabama ($2.71).

The national average price of a gallon of self-service regular gasoline was unchanged at $3.042, a day after dropping four-tenths of a cent. It is 1.8 cents more than one week ago, but 1.6 cents less than one month ago and 8.6 cents less than one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.974 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
