Construction Starts on Lake Elsinore's $10 Million Park: Summerly Community
The city celebrated a groundbreaking on the new project this week.

Lake Elsinore, CA – Construction has officially begun on a new local park, with the groundbreaking of the future Summery Community Park on Wednesday.
City officials say the project is now in its first phase, which is expected to wrap up by late next year.
"This new park is the result of the partnership between the City and McMillian Summerly LLC, which is constructing the park as part of their successful Summerly community," the city said in a news release. "The cost of the improvements and construction of the 24-acre park is estimated at $10 million and will be paid for by Summerly. The City will not provide any funding for the park."

- Phase 1—July 2016 and is expected to take approximately 15 months to complete, i.e. late 2017
- Phase 2 – Estimated to begin late 2017 and will take approximately 1 year to complete
- Phase 3 – Estimated to begin late 2018 and will take approximately 1 year to complete
Upon completion, Summerly Community Park will boast a wide variety of amenities including:
- Four baseball fields, lighted with shaded dugouts, bleachers, fenced bullpens and a score table
- Restrooms, park storage and a concession stand
- Two large group picnic pavilions and lawn areas
- Soccer field with sloped turf for spectators
- Basketball court with a shade pavilion and bench seating
- Skate park (approximately 10,000 sq. ft.) - the City's 3rd skate park
- Two tennis courts
- Outdoor event circle with picnic tables
- Dog park with separate areas for small and large breeds
- Two shaded play parks, one for ages 2-5 and one for ages 5-12
- Picnic tree groves with open play areas
