Coronavirus Cases Double In Riverside County Over 4 Days
There are 59 confirmed cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Riverside County has doubled since Friday, but officials have warned the numbers will continue to increase.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 59 cases countywide. Coachella Valley has the most, with 28 confirmed cases; western Riverside County has 19; Southwest Riverside County 10; and mid county reports one.
One additional resident, who was diagnosed while traveling, has not returned to the region.

The countywide death toll remains at six — all were in the Coachella Valley.
The number of confirmed cases is not surprising given the increased testing.

Last week, Dr. Cameron Kaiser, Riverside County public health officer, warned, “Unfortunately, as testing expands, so will the number of positive cases. We are working diligently to ensure those who may have been exposed are taken care of, but we know COVID-19 is present in the community, and there will be more cases.”
As of last Friday afternoon, there were 28 confirmed cases countywide and four deaths.
