Coroner IDs Deadly Lakeland Village Crash Victim
The head-on crash led to fatal injuries for a local resident, the CHP reports.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A man who died following a head-on crash in Lakeland Village on Friday has been publicly identified. Jesston Turner died at the scene of the 6:10 p.m. crash along Grand Avenue about 10 minutes after it happened, according to the Riverside County coroner's office. He was 66 and a resident of Lake Elsinore.
Turner was riding a 1999 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Grand Avenue, near Stoneman Avenue, when he "veered onto the wrong side of the road and into the direct path" of a Wildomar woman in a BMW X1 SUV, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Lassig.
The man was thrown from the bike and landed on the roadway where he died, according to officials.

Of the two people inside the BMW, one of them was hurt. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Lassig.
The Temecula Area CHP office is investigating the collision. Grand was closed between Stoneman and Zink for about two hours following the incident.
