Downed Motorcycle Ignites On 91 Freeway During Morning Commute

CORONA, CA — The #1 and #2 lanes of the westbound 91 Freeway were shut down Monday morning after a motorcyclist crashed with another car and burst into flames, California Highway Patrol reported.

At 8:45 a.m., a motorcycle and another vehicle collided, injuring at least one person, according to CHP reports. The motorcyclist was downed in the #1 lane and was able to get to the center divider, according to reports, although details of injuries were not released.

The downed motorcycle burst into flames before emergency officials arrived, though a bystander with a fire extinguisher attempted, unsuccessfully, to squelch the growing blaze.
