Dramatic Scuffle With Shoplifter During TJ Maxx Theft Caught On Video

EASTVALE, CA — A dramatic confrontation between a shoplifter and a member of the public at a T.J. Maxx in Eastvale was captured on video.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 12000 block of Limonite Avenue, according to the Riverside County sheriff’s office.

Four women entered the business, filled bags with merchandise such as purses and clothes, and tried to leave, at which point a bystander stepped in and a physical altercation occurred, the sheriff’s office said, adding the women fled with about $1,500 in stolen goods.

Footage published by KABC shows the women leaving, their arms loaded with items, at which point a man tries to take one of the women’s bags, shoving her into a security device and dragging her to the ground.
