Project Description: The Downtown Active Transportation Connections & Green Streets Project will include active transportation infrastructure and urban greening improvements along Spring Street, Pottery Street, Sumner Avenue, and Heald Avenue. The project will connect downtown Lake Elsinore with the local residential area on Pottery Street with a bicycle and pedestrian bridge that offers convenient access to the core civic and retail areas, transit stops, and access to other hubs via Chaney Street. This project will fill sidewalk infrastructure gaps, striping of bike lanes, install a pre-fabricated pedestrian and bicycle bridge over the Outflow Channel, and install high carbon sequestering street trees in the parkways throughout the project footprint. The project will support the following goals: active transportation access, carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emission reductions, economic development, and civic empowerment.Find out more at: http://www.lake-elsinore.org/Home/Components/Calendar/Event/5151/18?backlist=%2f
