Ex-School Janitor Admits Molesting Lake Elsinore Girls
David Robledo Jr., 38, is being held without bail at the Smith Correctional Facility.
MURRIETA, CA — A former Lake Elsinore Unified School District janitor who molested two girls and was caught with child pornography pleaded guilty Friday to felony charges.
David Robledo Jr., 38, of Homeland on Friday admitted two counts of lewd acts on a child and one count of possession of child porn, with a sentence- enhancing allegation of targeting multiple victims, under a pretrial agreement with the Riverside County District Attorney's Office. In exchange for Robledo's admissions, prosecutors agreed to drop four related charges against him.
Superior Court Judge Jeff Zimel scheduled a sentencing hearing for Oct. 2 at the Southwest Justice Center in Murrieta. There was no prospective sentence indicated in court minutes.

Robledo is being held without bail at the Smith Correctional Facility.
According to the D.A.'s office, in December 2024, Riverside County Child Exploitation Team, or RCCET, investigators were alerted via an online tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children that a person residing in the county was loading explicit images of minors into a Cloud-based storage platform.

The ensuing probe resulted in the identification of Robledo as the account user, prosecutors said. Warrants were obtained and served at his property on Collin Drive, where evidence was seized and the defendant was taken into custody without incident on March 20, 2025.
The girls molested by Robledo were not identified, and the circumstances were not disclosed. The acts occurred in 2018, according to court documents.
It was unclear whether the children victimized were students in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District.
The district declined to identify at which campuses Robledo worked. He has since been terminated.
The defendant has no documented prior felony convictions in Riverside County.
RCCET is comprised of prosecutors, sheriff's personnel, officers from multiple municipal police agencies, along with staff from the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation and U.S. Marshals.
