Fatal Shooting Overnight Near I-15 and 91 Freeways In Home Gardens
A 47-year-old man was shot and killed early Tuesday. Now, the Riverside County Sheriff's Homicide Investigators seek witnesses to the crime.
HOME GARDENS, CA —A 47-year-old man was found shot to death in Home Gardens early Tuesday, and Riverside County Sheriff's Department homicide investigators are seeking witnesses to the crime.
At 1 a.m., deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station arrived at the 3000 block of Grant Street, in the unincorporated community of Riverside County known as Home Gardens, regarding an unresponsive male, Sgt. Alberto Loureiro said.
Upon arrival, deputies located the man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, according to Loureiro. "Lifesaving measures were attempted, but the paramedics ultimately pronounced the male deceased at the scene."

The Riverside Sheriff’s Office- Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation.
The decedent’s name will not be released at this time pending next of kin notification, according to Loureiro.

No arrests have yet been made, and investigators are working to identify the suspect or suspects involved.
"This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time," he said.
