Fire Crews Battle Blaze At Abandoned 'The Riverside' Building

Firefighters responded to a fire at an abandoned building in Lake Elsinore early Saturday morning.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Flames charred "The Riverside" commercial building in Lake Elsinore early Saturday morning, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department. Officials said the structure was abandoned.

Fire crews arrived at the 31000 block of Riverside Drive at 2:45 a.m., where they found the building engulfed in flames that were mostly burning in the attic.

Firefighters contained the blaze at 3:53 a.m. and remained on scene for an hour after.
