Fire Leads to Temporary Closures on 71, 91 Freeways Near Corona
Lanes on northbound state Route 71 were shut down at the Riverside (91) Freeway for about two hours as firefighters worked on the blaze.

Corona, CA – A slow-moving brush fire scorched about three acres in an unincorporated area of Riverside County near Corona before it was extinguished, authorities said Tuesday.
The fire, reported about 5:50 p.m. Monday, was out at 9:15 p.m. Monday, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Fighting the blaze were Riverside County firefighters, Cal Fire firefighters from San Bernardino County, the Corona Fire Department and the Chino Valley Independent Fire District, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

Lanes on northbound state Route 71 were shut down at the Riverside (91) Freeway for about two hours as firefighters worked on the blaze, and California Highway Patrol officers helped motorists get around the closures, a CHP dispatcher said.
The fire burned off the 71 north of Prado Dam, according Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman April Newman. She said 133 firefighters battled the blaze from the ground and air.

No injuries or structural damages were reported.
