Firefighters Battle RivCo House Fire, 1 Person Evacuated
Two additional fire engines were requested for backup due to heavy flames coming from the garage, fire officials said.
HEMET, CA — One person was evacuated after a house fire broke out in Hemet on Thursday, fire officials said.
The blaze was reported by multiple 911 calls just after 1 p.m. in the 41300 block of Merriwood Drive, said Maggie Cline De La Rosa, a spokesperson for Cal Fire/Riverside County.
No injuries were reported.

One person was safely evacuated from the single-story home, and animal control was requested for assistance for multiple dogs at the location.

Firefighters contained the blaze around 1:30 p.m. and will remain at the scene for about three hours, said Cline De La Rosa.
The American Red Cross was requested to assist the one adult who was displaced by the fire.
