Firefighters Rescue Injured Hiker From Norco Hills

Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters answered a distress call Tuesday evening.

NORCO, CA — Medics rescued a patient who was injured hiking in the hills near Norco Monday evening.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., a person became injured while hiking in the Norco Hills area near Crestview Drive and 6th Street. Cal Fire/Riverside County Firefighters answered the distress call and made their way, nearly a mile on foot, to the hiker's location, according to a spokesperson from the department.

Two hours later, medics were able to help the hiker down the hill on foot, and a waiting ambulance took them to a nearby hospital.
