LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Without community leaders, Lake Elsinore wouldn’t hum along nearly as smoothly as it does. We’d miss their contributions in big and small ways.

Patch has partnered with T-Mobile to recognize these often unsung community leaders and celebrate their contributions.

This submission comes from Fabi Carrillo, a Lake Elsinore reader who nominated Magda Stewart. Stewart is a leader of the TIP Trauma Intervention Program of Riverside County, a dedicated group of "typical everyday citizens" who help other citizens in times of traumatic crisis, according to their website.

According to the Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce, TIP "bridges the emotional gap between the moments of a tragic event back to moments when a survivor can be more able to manage the needs of life in a post-event existence. Whether for survivors of assault, robbery, rape, burglary, fire, accident, or loneliness, our chapter is here to help the distraught."
