Hiker Finds Body In Cleveland National Forest

The deceased person was discovered about three miles south of State Route 74, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — A body was found by a hiker in the Cleveland National Forest, and sheriff's officials Sunday continued to conduct a death investigation prompted by the discovery.

The body was found at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday off of South Main Divide Road about three miles south of State Route 74, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

The road was closed in both directions overnight as investigatorsworked the scene, but it was reopened at about noon.
