Home, Other Structures Destroyed In Lake Elsinore Fire

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — A vegetation fire scorched two acres, destroyed multiples structures and left three people displaced Sunday in Riverside County, authorities said.

The blaze, called the Telford Fire, was reported at 4:06 p.m. in the 20500 block of Telford Avenue in Lake Elsinore, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The fire burned two acres and destroyed a home, three outbuildings and a recreational vehicle.

Crews stopped forward progress of the fire by 4:58 p.m., fire officials said.

The American Red Cross was requested to assist three an adult and two juveniles who were displaced by the fire.

Telford Avenue was closed from Patterson to Peach streets while crews battled the blaze.
