Injured Hiker Airlifted Near Lake Elsinore
A hiker had to be hoisted to safety by helicopter from a trail near Alberhill Saturday afternoon after suffering an injury.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — An injured hiker was hoisted off a trail north of Lake Elsinore by a rescue helicopter before being hospitalized Saturday.
The Riverside County Fire Department got a call at 10:50 a.m. Saturday that the hiker was injured on a trail near Dale Court and Lincoln Street in the unincorporated community of Alberhill.
A Riverside County Sheriff's Department helicopter was used to hoist the injured hiker off the trail to an awaiting ground ambulance, fire officials said.

The hiker was then evaluated by paramedics before being taken to a hospital with minor injuries to a lower extremity.
