Inland Empire Gas Prices Lowest Since Late April

Check gas prices where you are before heading out for the long Fourth of July weekend.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Wednesday for the 44th consecutive day and the 45th time in 46 days, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.49, its lowest amount since April 29.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped 45.1 cents over the past 46 days, including four-tenths of a cent on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose 83.2 cents during the stretch of 29 increases in 30 days that immediately preceded the current run of dropping prices.

The average price is 3.6 cents less than one week ago, 30.7 cents lower than a month ago and 64.7 cents below what it was one year ago.
