Lake Elsinore Community Center Offers Acting Classes

The Lake Elsinore Community Center is offering Acting Classes.

The Lake Elsinore Community center has had such great success with it's Summer Acting Classes that it has now started offering classes for fall.

Besides being fun and having a blast, each class introduces the basics of theater. Including play acting, character building, miming, facial and body expressions, stage commands and performance. Theatrical activities include interaction with other students, memorization, use of props, and basic body movements. No previous experience is required.

Classes are taught by Carlene Griffith. Carlene Griffith, a local resident of Lake Elsinore, comes with an extensive theater background, starting at the age of 4yrs when she started dancing at the Looking Glass Studio of Drama and Dance located in San Bernardino, CA. She moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue a career in Acting. After a couple of years of extensive studies at the Young Actors Space in Van Nuys, CA, she pursued and received her Sceen Actors Guild eligibility. She has served on board of directors for numerous theaters in the Inland Empire and has been invited to Judge numerous times for DTASC (Drama Teachers Association of Southern California) festivals. She has been teaching theater for over 10yrs now within the non-profit sector and has recently compiled her originally written recital plays into a book, called "10-Minute Plays for Kids of All Ages."
