Lake Elsinore Gas Prices Drop Again: Find The Cheapest Gas Near You

For 52 days, gas prices have fallen in Lake Elsinore & Riverside County. We searched to find you the cheapest gas in your town.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Lake Elsinore's gas prices have dropped for the 52nd time in 53 days, officials say, to the lowest price since March 5. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County dropped Friday, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $5.181, its lowest amount since March 5.

In Lale Elsinore and Wildomar, the cheapest gas price for regular, unleaded gasoline was at the Costco, Circle K and ARCO Gas Stations, all competitively priced at $4.79 per gallon. The most expensive gas in our area was at the Clinton Keith Arco station, at $5.89 per gallon, according to www.GasBuddy.com.

The average price has dropped 99.8 cents over the past 53 days, including eight-tenths of a cent Thursday, and $1.149 since rising to a record $6.33 on June 14, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It dropped 48 consecutive days, rose seven-tenths of a cent Monday and resumed decreasing Tuesday.

The average price is 3.6 cents less than one week ago and 46.2 cents lower than one month ago, but 87.2 cents more than one year ago.
"Average gas prices are still 60 cents a gallon higher than their all-time records prior to this year, so it's unlikely they will drop below previous historic levels unless we see pump price drops start accelerating again," said Doug Shupe, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications and programs manager.

The national average price dropped for the 73rd consecutive day since rising to a record, decreasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.869. It has dropped $1.147 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, including a half-cent Thursday.

The national average price is 4.9 cents less than one week ago and 45.8 cents lower than one month ago, but 72.3 cents more than one year ago.
