Lake Elsinore Hazardous Household Waste Collection Planned: What To Bring When You Go

Make sure your household hazardous waste is on the approved list before you attempt to drop it off at this free City of Lake Elsinore event.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The Lake Elsinore Household Hazardous Waste Collection event is happening from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, according to city officials. Take your household waste to the city's Public Works Yard, located at 512 N. Langstaff Street, Lake Elsinore.

This drop-off event is free for Lake Elsinore residents.

"Got old paint, batteries, or household chemicals? Bring them to the event and help keep our community clean and safe," the city reported. The event can also take your used sharps, which will be safely stored for transport, according to the city's list of approved waste.

Accepted items include:

  • automotive chemicals,
  • batteries (auto, household, and rechargeable),
  • electronics such as TVs, computers, monitors, and VCRs,
  • fluorescent tubes and bulbs;
  • household chemicals and cleaners;
  • paint;
  • pesticides;
  • pool chemicals;
  • sharps (hypodermic needles);
  • used motor oil;
  • and more.

Please transport items in sealed containers and remain in your vehicle during drop-off. Proof of address is required.
