Lake Elsinore Nonprofits Encouraged To Apply For CDBG Money
The federal funding is distributed through the city, and nonprofits that serve Lake Elsinore residents have until Oct. 14 to apply.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — Nonprofit organizations that serve Lake Elsinore residents could receive federal funding to help their causes.
The city is now accepting applications from nonprofits for its 2023/2024 Community Development Block Grant cycle. Funds must be used between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
The CDBG program is a federally funded program that annually awards grants to local governments for the purpose of improving residents' lives, especially those with low- and moderate-income levels.

In order to qualify, CDBG-funded projects must satisfy one of three national program objectives:
- Provide a benefit to low- and moderate-income persons,
- Prevent or eliminate slums and blight, or
- Meet other urgent community development needs due to natural disasters or other emergencies.
Review and download Lake Elsinore's 2023/2024 CDBG application here. Applications will be accepted through 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022.
