Lake Elsinore 'Pick A Truck' Event Postponed Due To Weather

If you were planning on attending Saturday's Lakepoint Park event in Lake Elsinore, be advised: The 'Pick a Truck' event has been postponed.

Kids of all ages can check out all manners of trucks from police and SWAT vehicles to dump trucks and tractors at the February event.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — The Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station invites the community to a school supply giveaway this February to celebrate all things "truck-related."

The 2nd Annual Pick A Truck event has been postponed, and will not occur Saturday, Feb. 10 at Lakepoint Park.

A new date will be added soon, according to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station.

"Pick a truck that is in your sights, honk the horns and flash the lights!" The event is hands-on, enabling kids to get inside some of these large vehicles they see on the road daily.

Trucks from the Sheriff's Department will join vehicles from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, Public Works, construction tractors and dump trucks, as well as trucks from Edison, CR&R, tow trucks, and others. The Animal Friends of the Valleys will also be in attendance.

"We look forward to seeing everyone," a spokesperson for the sheriff's station said.
