Lake Elsinore Residents Gather to Discuss New Planned Community

Over a Hundred Residents Attended the Alberhill Villages Open House.

The following was submitted for publication by the ‘Live Lake Elsinore’ coalition:

Over 100 residents of Lake Elsinore crowded into the Alberhill Ranch Boys and Girls Club Wednesday night to show their support and learn more about the Alberhill Villages Project. Alberhill Villages is a new planned community, comprised of residential, retail and open space. The mixed-use project contains specific plans for a four-year university, medical facilities, and a community performing arts center.

City officials, business owners, parents and teens alike all viewed the project exhibits with amazement at what the future of Lake Elsinore could look like.

The open house was hosted by Live Lake Elsinore; a coalition of residents, business owners, and local leaders in support of projects and events that move Lake Elsinore forward. The coalition currently boasts over 500 members, while their recent survey drew in over 750 respondents. The main project that the coalition is currently advocating for is Alberhill Villages.

Live Lake Elsinore Coalition Spokesperson, Karie Reuther said that while she expected hundreds of responses, the coalition never expected to draw in such levels of interest. “We still have people contacting us daily asking how they can sign up and support us,” she said. “The huge influx of responses tells us that our coalition is on the right track and that people are going to start demanding more from the City. They are ready to do more than just reside here; they are ready to Live Lake Elsinore.”

Coalition member and Chamber President Kim Cousins stated, “Lake Elsinoreresidents are ready to start demanding the local amenities and businesses that we deserve.” “Not in Temecula, not in Corona,” he added, “but right here in our own backyard.” The draft Environmental Impact Report for Alberhill Villages is currently with the City, while residents await its release so that they may have a chance for public review and input.
