Lake Elsinore-Wildomar Gasoline Price Drops For 16 Days Straight

The average for a gallon is now $3.76, a 2.3-cent reduction.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire dropped Wednesday for the 16th consecutive day and the 17th time in 18 days, decreasing 2.3 cents to $3.76.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has dropped 18.1 cents over the past 18 days, including 1.4 cents on Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose 83.2 cents during the stretch of 29 increases in 30 days that immediately preceded the current run of dropping prices.

The average price is 10.9 cents less than one week ago and 35.6 cents lower than one year ago, but 2 cents more than one month ago.

The dropping gasoline prices are the result of improved supply, according to Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
