Lake Elsinore, Wildomar Libraries Announce Computer Loan Program
Library card holders can now check out a Chromebook for up to three weeks.
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Need a computer but don't have money to buy one? The Riverside County Library System can help.
Earlier this month, library officials announced they had procured over 80 Chromebooks thanks to funding from the Southern California Library Cooperative and the California State Library. As a result, RCLS patrons can use their library cards to check out the devices, just as they would books and DVDs.
The Chromebooks can be borrowed for up to three weeks and will be turned off if not returned on the due date. (Learn more about lost/replacement fees here.)

While patrons will need to connect to a network for internet access, the Chromebooks come equipped with Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides.
When Chromebooks are returned to the library, all data and usage will be removed from the devices before making them available for the next user, according to RCLS
