Lake Elsinore, Wildomar Sheriff's Explorers Learn How to Become Role Models, Leaders at Academy
Explorer Post 881 from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station took part in the 17th Annual Law Enforcement Explorer Academy.
The following is a news release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department:
From July 20th, through July 25th, 2014, the Explorer Post 881 from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station proudly represented the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, and the respective partner contract cities of Lake Elsinore and Wildomar, while attending the 17th Annual Law Enforcement Explorer Academy.
The law enforcement explorers were placed in a live-in academy for the above listed days and participated in various training such as: marching maneuvers, defensive tactics, scenarios encountered by law enforcement officers, cross-fitness training, force options and firearms training.

While at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Ben Clark Training Center, training was provided by well-trained and knowledgeable law enforcement instructors and explorer advisors from various law enforcement agencies. The explorers were able to mature and take with them the tools needed to become successful adults. They are encouraged to pursue their dreams. The explorers also learned how to become role models and leaders within their communities.
118 law enforcement explorers from various law enforcement agencies participated. Those agencies were the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, Perris Sheriff’s Station, Menifee Sheriff’s Station, San Jacinto Sheriff’s Station, Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station, Temecula Sheriff’s Station, Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station, Beaumont Police Department, McFarland Police Department, Claremont Police Department, Fontana Police Department, and Washington County, Utah Sheriff’s Department.
