Lanes Cleared On 91 Freeway Following Fatal Incident
The fatal incident came after a motorist crashed into the center divider of the freeway.
RIVERSIDE, CA — Traffic lanes were clear late Monday morning on state Route 91 following a fatal crash earlier in the day.
The crash was reported about 2:40 a.m. on the eastbound side of the freeway west of Central Avenue, in Riverside, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal incident came after a motorist crashed into the center divider of the freeway.

No other injuries were immediately reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the CHP. The victim's identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.

All lanes were closed for about two hours, according to the CHP.
As of 9:15 a.m., the usual Monday morning westbound 91 freeway slowing was reported on SigAlert.com, but there were no incidents.
