Man Killed at Corona Gun Range Identified

The shooting, suspected to be accidental, was Saturday.

CORONA, CA – Authorities today released the name of a 36-year-old man who was fatally injured in an apparent accidental shooting at a Corona gun range.

Lionel Tan of Hawaiian Gardens was shot at Mike Raahauge Shooting Enterprises, 14995 River Road, shortly before noon Saturday and was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Further details were not disclosed by investigators.

The gun range was closed Saturday afternoon while authorities investigated the shooting, but reopened Sunday.

According to its website, the gun range offers private bays for pistol and rifle shooting, duck and pheasant hunting and a sporting clays course.
