Man Shot, Killed By Corona Police In Family Disturbance ID'd
The 32-year-old man died from his wounds at a local hospital.
CORONA, CA — A man who was fatally shot by Corona police was identified Monday.
Cristian Alanzo Anguiano, 32, of Corona, was shot by officers at the scene of a reported family disturbance at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday in the 1000 block of West Rancho Road, according to Corona Police Department Cpl. Tobias Kouroubacalis.
Officers arrived on the scene to find Anguiano in the driveway, refusing to comply with commands from law enforcement, police said. According to Kouroubacalis, the man reentered the residence and forced his way into the bedroom where family members were hiding from him.

When officers entered the residence, Anguiano was armed with an edged weapon, leading police to open fire, police said.
Anguiano was taken to a hospital, where he died from his wounds.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department was conducting an investigation into the shooting.
