Mandatory Evacuation Orders Issued In RivCo Due To Airport Fire
An evacuation center is open at Santiago High School, 1395 E Foothill Pkwy. in Corona. The Jurupa Valley Animal Shelter is taking pets.

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Mandatory evacuations are now in effect across part of Riverside County due to the Airport Fire.
According to a 2 p.m. Tuesday update from Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department, the mandatory order is for the area to the north of the Riverside County/San Diego County line, south of Lake Elsinore near the base of Ortega Highway, east of the Orange County/Riverside County line, and west of South Main Divide Road/Grand Avenue.
The mandatory evacuation area was expanded late afternoon to also include area north of the Riverside County/San Diego County line, south of Wildomar Truck Trail, west of Tenaja Road/Avenida La Cresta, and east of Los Alamos Truck Trail.

Several Riverside County areas remain under an evacuation warning.
Riverside County residents can evacuate to a care and reception center set up at Santiago High School, 1395 E Foothill Pkwy. in Corona. Animals may also be brought to the Jurupa Valley Animal Shelter, 6851 Van Buren Blvd. in Jurupa Valley.
