Menifee Man Found Shot To Death On Antelope Road
Police and medics were called to the scene late Wednesday to find the man unresponsive with a deadly gunshot wound.
MENIFEE, CA — A man killed inside a Menifee home Wednesday was identified as a 42-year-old Menifee resident, authorities say.
Emmanuel Villalobos died of an apparent gunshot wound to the chest inside a residence in the 25000 block of Antelope Road, Menifee Police Spokesperson Chase Coburn said.
Thus far, there have been no arrests, and all witnesses are cooperating with authorities, Coburn said.

Shortly after 11 p.m., Menifee Police and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department medics arrived at the home on a 911 call for an unresponsive man. First aid was attempted; however, he was declared dead at the scene.
"Due to the suspicious circumstances surrounding the death, Detectives from the Menifee Police Department were called to the scene and have taken control of the investigation," Coburn said.

The preliminary investigation revealed this was an isolated incident, and all involved parties were cooperative, she said. There was no current threat to the community."
According to Coburn, the incident, which is still under active investigation, was not considered a home invasion or domestic incident.
