Motocross Track, Skate Parks Reopen In Lake Elsinore
The reopenings follow Friday's rescinding of county public health orders.
LAKE ELSINORE, CA — In the city of Lake Elsinore's weekly update to residents, it was announced that several popular facilities are reopening following coronavirus shutdowns.
The announcements were made Friday via a video address delivered by Lake Elsinore Mayor Brian Tisdale and Mayor Pro Tem Bob Magee (watch video below).
- All city parks, including skate parks and playgrounds, were ordered reopened following temporary closures amid COVID-19. Social distancing is recommended for park-goers, Tisdale said.
- Lake Elsinore's Launch Pointe RV park is now open for short-term lodging for people with trailers, Magee announced.
- After more than a year's closure, the Lake Elsinore motocross park is reopening. The newly renamed Lake Elsinore MX Sports Park and Events Center is operating Friday through Monday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Magee said.
The reopenings follow Friday's rescinding of county public health orders that mandated face masks, social distancing, restrictions on short-term rentals and at golf courses.

Magee also announced that beginning May 18, construction work will begin on the long-awaited $31 million Railroad Canyon Road/Interstate 15 interchange project that is predicted to help ease traffic at the busy location.
