Motorcyclist Dies In Lake Elsinore Motocross Park Accident

The victim suffered traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.

LAKE ELSINORE, CA — An off-road motorcycle rider died in an accident at the Lake Elsinore Motocross Park Sunday.

The death was reported at 12:10 p.m. in the 31900 block of Cereal Street, according to Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.

The victim suffered traumatic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department was investigating the death.

In a Sunday night Facebook post, track officials said, "concerning the unfortunate accident at the track, we give our condolences to the gentleman's family and friends. ... We would also like to show respect to the family and give them privacy during this unfortunate time."

As of Monday morning, the victim's identity had not been released by the Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau.
