Motorcyclist ID'd In Fatal I-215 Crash: CHP
Wednesday afternoon, a motorcyclist was thrown from his vehicle while traveling southbound on I-215.

RIVERSIDE, CA — A 33-year-old motorcyclist was identified as the victim killed in an I-215 motorcycle crash, authorities said Thursday.
Jose Lucero of Riverside was fatally injured at 3 p.m. Wednesday on southbound I-215 near Center Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
"Lucero was traveling at an unconfirmed speed on the crowded four-lane corridor when he collided with a big rig, and his motorcycle overturned in the fast lane, hurling him onto the pavement," according to CHP.

The southbound 215 came to a standstill, and a trauma surgeon stuck in the traffic left his vehicle to provide medical assistance. According to the CHP, the surgeon conducted resuscitative measures until Riverside County Fire Department paramedics reached the location.
Lucero was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was unclear whether officers could immediately locate the other party involved in the collision.
